Exclude filetypes list

Post by Leppo » 2004-04-14 14:04

How about a feature to sharing settings that would enable you to excude certain file types from being shared, like in Shareaza for example.

For e.g. you could set that .dat files are not included in your file list, so thumnail files created by image viewers would not be included. Similarly, you could exclude playlists that reside in the same directory with mp3s.

Yup, this is how I coded the UI in my mod. An edit box, an add and remove button, and a listview of existing entries. It takes up a lot more space, but it usable.

But... put a good way to include many files in this. For example, rightclick on a file in Explorer and wolia... it´s in this list.
1. Exact this file and filesize including CRC (TTH)
2. All files with this filename ( thumbs.db , pspbrwse.jbf )

This function save broadband...

One feature you could enable once hashing is widespread is something like "Never download a file you already have" or similar, which would check the hash against your own database and stop you from downloading stuff you're already sharing.
