setting the minimum dl speed & some other important thin

Post by bartpabi » 2004-03-23 10:21

I think that an option allowing setting the minimum download speed, below which the dl would be automatically cancelled, would come in handy (at least for me;P ). The speed limit would be manually set by the user, just as the amount of time, for which the speed would have to be below the set level to actually disconnect (protection from accidental disconnecting because of occasional speed fluctuation).
Another option should allow to automatically add the "slow" user to a list with lesser priority when determining where to dl something from.
Besides, there should be a possibility to manually start a downloading from a specific user (or at least try - when he doesn't have any slots open).
Also, if the previous option would be included, maybe an average download speed from each user could be shown next to the nick?
I know it's not easy to put all these options to dc, but maybe other users would like to see them too?
Thanks in advance

I definitely agree about that "if download speed < X THEN close connection AND use another source" -feature.

smells like a ~bump~?

Well I want it! Now! Now! I want it! Yes! Now!

You're not the first, you probably won't be the last either. The file is in the official tracker:

[ 669593 ] Switch download source when below specified speed

Please be patient! (or pay for the time to program it.)
