Automatic external ip reading?
is there any way to make DC++ read the external (dynamic) ip of the router and replace the one it's using to the current one (without user having to do nothing)?

Dynamic IP, router & active mode
Hey hey,
I'd like to continue on this thread...It's an absolute horror if you have a dynamic IP. Lately, I get disconnected a lot. So everytime, I have to get my new IP from the router, and enter this in the settings list for DC++. Surely, there must be some way (script) to generate this 'on the fly' or even say every 30 minutes?
I've seen no area where you can enter scripts so far?
Cheers!

external IP reading in DC plus plus
I've used this dynamic service setup. Used DynDNS.org and after trying about six different clients finally found one that was simply able to get my IP from checkip.dyndns.org. Then you'll find that this update of the IP that you get, to the domain name (account), takes about half an hour!
This brings me back to the origin of this thread: please add this feature to DCplusplus, so that people with changing, dynamic IP's can still happily use it, without having to be present 24/7.
Cheers
