About private hubs

Post by mrdylan » 2003-02-06 17:24

ok when people are in private hubs the slot bot does not pick up on it (slots per hub etc )

this is a serious issue in my hub

many times there is no way of kowning unless i go to every other private hub and see what version of dc they are using (after 177 you can not open multiple clients) and whos to say they are not in other private hubs that i am unaware of or usuing the same 177 cient for both hubs even

there must be someway to implement into the program a way to see even the private hubs like P1 or P2 or even include it into the H

something must be done about this

There is a thread about authenticated users not having their hub tally updated. Perhaps you mean that? Private hubs, to me, means hubs not listed on the public hub list. With that definition in mind, your request doesn't make much sense.

If your request makes it into the next version (0.232 or whatever), you'll essentially have to kick everyone who isn't using that version. At some point, this becomes a zero sum game. Why not just take your hub private so you have more complete control over it?

This just highlights why Ratings Servers would be a good thing, I suppose.

what he means is that hubs you are a registered user in, does not show in the H: tag.

my hub is private thats the problem they can be in 2 hubs with only 3 slots even though i have a slots per hub bot that works

when your in a private hub H= 0 so 3 private hubs H = 0

why not just have the bot do the authentication for you.. that way it will pick up the ratio's also..
