Because arnetheduck considered that information... irrelevant to have announced. I mean, who really cares how many downloads you have running? It doesn't say whether you are a cheater or not since you can have 3 upload slots and 43 download slots and still upload more than you download (unlikely but possible).
For your information, it is very simple to code, but would put a higher bandwidth load on the server as the myinfo would have to be updated more often for the value to be accurate (if we would use the <++ tag to show the info).

Not exactly - it is understandable that you'd ask, but the information isn't really very relevant.

thanks for your reply, i run an isp based hub with 3 connection types 512.128 / 1500.256 and 256.64k

yes im in aus, and we pay too much for this, but its our only way, nayway, we have discovered many users downloading about 10 slots each, and well only uploading at about 8k, this is a problem with allowing hacked clients i know, but with our crappy adsl, dc++ just wont run efficiently. i was just looking at some way to check who these scammers are, and send them a nice message from time to time, say maybe if they go over a certian amount of slots or a ratio or somewhat?

thanks

no ideas on a free slot bot either?

Blocking based on download slots is stupid IMO, simply because a lot of people upload most of the time without any downloads, then when they actualy queue a few things, almost all of them start downloading at once...

To answer your question in one sentence: No, there is no way to find out who downloads from whom.

One thing that would be useful would be for the clients to report to whom they had uploaded a certain amount of data. This way you could get statistics on how much each client uploads (and downloads) in your hub. A discussion about a modification to this effect can be found on this forum, here.
