Hub List DL Seperate From Normal Queue

Post by KosMosUnit » 2003-10-03 14:42

This I run into often.. You'll be searching for a file, and finally hit on a decent connection that is blazing. You but want to see what else the user has so that you may take advantage of the bandwidth. However, the file that your search used to lead you to this user is now downloading. You can either go mess with the priorities in the download queue or wait until it is done before downloading their share list. Maybe share lists could be kept seperate from the standard key? Another words, two connections to the same user, one for the file and another for the hib list...

confusing

I have seen this request before, but your terminology is very confusing.

You want to allow a second connection for transferring a file list from someone you're already downloading a file from.

This will require changes on both ends, as DC++ specifically protects from multiple connections (on the same hub) to one user.
