Does anyone know what the differences between Windows XP profesional and Windows XP corporate professional are?

The only difference that I know of, is that the latter does not have Product Activation.

XP Pro doesn't have product activation either.... The only version that does is the HOME version of XP...

XP pro need activation depending on keys.
if you have a coporative key no activation is require.

note that the cd for pro version they distribute now might have change...
so meabe not all version of XP pro will be unlock by a coporation keys.

I've had both versions of XP, Home which requires a Licence Serial Number and then after that you need a product activation or after 30 days becomes unusable, or XP Pro which is the more stable of the two, which just required a Licence serial number to be entered.

Unless of course we're talking about American versions, in which case i'm unaware of the naming of these two versions..

yes american/canadian version

product activation is base on the cd version and cd key.
home version cd do not accept Pro cd keys, and even the Pro version will have to be registred, unless you have a corporate cd key.

other that the registration..., there's none.

the difference between XP home and Pro are basicaly.
1 missing components.
2 connectivity amputation.(restricted)
add the missing components, missing registry entries and modify the restrictive registry entries, home should acte as Pro version.
feasable but..., Pro version is available, so why bother.

but the cost diff is not so big if you consider what it would take to make home work like Pro, if you need Pro cappability.

I have noticed that people haven't mentioned that corporate can be installed on a set number of machines (it might br twenty), but pro can only be installed on one.
