Video help

I just downloaded a video from DC++ and it is in .avi format. It won't play on my computer, the sound works, but it says error downloading code when I try to play it in windows media player. Im new to this, and am not sure what to do. Can someone tell me how to get theses videos to play?

Sounds like media centre and it's usual shitness in downloading codecs.
Try VLC Player .
