File indexing -> Loss of files ?

Mjello, i installed DC++ tonight and was busy indexing files to share when my computer went crazy and booted itself, now when i try to access the drive i had all my files on i cant see the ones that wernt indexed yet , what can i do now ?

Please don't bump threads - we read every thread, so you gain nothing.

In order to get help, you'll need to describe what is happening. From what you've said so far, it looks like you're experiencing normal behavior, of DC++ hashing files and only adding them to your file list when they're hashed.

Oh my bad, i just saw you replying to the other threads so i grew jealous :<

Well the thing is it has stopped hashing, and the files still aint visible.

Is there anything i can do to start the hashing again ?

You may have to wait. DC++ creates the file list on demand, but it only does it up to 4 times an hour. You can get around this, to some extent, by refreshing the file list and then opening it (once the refresh has finished).

When i open the hash window it says "Done" , but i mustv not said it correctly or sumtin when i said i cant see the files. I mean , originally i had over 200gb of files when i was hashing and before my comp. went berzerk and rebooted , but now i only see the 10gb of thoose files on that harddrive (and im not talking about the filelist).

180gb -> 10gb because of my computer crashing while hashing ?

And yes i can still see that its something taking up disc space (180gb) but i cant see any files , theyr not hidden etc.

could you not just remove and re-add the folders in your share?

This problem is not about thoose files not showing up in DC, the hashing made my files dissapear from my harddrive (That meaning that i cant access them or see them) But as shown in my picture the files are still somehow on the the disk (as they are taking up 180gb of space).

Hashing does not make files disappear. Your computer crashing however can cause all kinds of strange things, unrelated to DC++. Do a proper chkdsk and suchlike.

You might want to try something like GetDataBack for NTFS or FAT32 also if the file table has gone to shit.
