Need Desperate Help - Death or life issue.

Post by kemikal1 » 2004-09-23 19:15

Hello there
I would like to present my problem on you and see if any could help :E
My search section in dc++ is not working
Whenever i start the search, it keeps searching forever and nothing happens
Even when I searched for xxx, to make sure that its not a common "No results were found" problem.
And when I try to get the file list of one of the users in the hubs I am at, it starts the download, goes on to "connecting" and never actually connects.
I am not behind a firewall.
I am in active mode.
Reinstalling it didnt solve the problem.
Getting a different version didnt help.
I am using a proxy server (if this helps).
Please help me before I cut my wrist.
Thanks a lot all :)

That is not life or death. Decrease the drama level.

Have you tried passive mode?

To search or not to search: that is the question:
Whether tis nobler in the hub to passive
the requests and results of outrageous pornography
Or to be Active against a sea of NAT'ers
