Different Number of open slots depending on the daytime

I wonder if would be possible to implement a feature wich would allow i. e. open 2 slots between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM and then opens additional slots in the time between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

the reason behind this is that a lot of users need some bandwith during the day for there work but not during the night. so more slots would be there during the night.

It's a misconception. You wouldn't save any bandwidth in this way, because fewer users downloading from you would have greater download speeds as most of the connection are asynchronous and the overall use would remain the same. The only solution is to use a client supporting bandwidth limiting.

What Gasp says is true (although it doesn't really have anything to do with the connection being asynchronous...), but I'd like to note that BCDC++ has this as part of the limiting feature.

I originally implemented that in BCDC++ to automatically duck out of sight of network administrators to some degree.

Oh, sorry, I obviously didn't make myself clear. What I meant was of course that in DC networks there is much bigger potential of download speed so other users could easily make use of additional speed per slot... well, whatever.

its also one of the reasons bcdc isn't allowed in every hub

The hubs I'm on never seem to pick up that I'm using BCDC++ instead of vanilla, though.
