firewall
Here I am again, I just read that if you use the active mode you get much more users and search results then with the passive mode. Well, I had to switch to passive mode, because otherwise, I could not get any search results, I tried reading the FAQ, but to be honest I don't understand a word of it, can anyone tell me in simple words how I can configure my firewall to ODC? I am using norton antivirus and I have windows xp on my computer. Thx a lot people

you might have ur windows xp fire wall on.
click start
control pannle
network and internet connections
network conections
Right click on ur internet connection and click propities
click advanced
and untick (if ticked) the box.
If it was ticked the xp fire wall was active.
Now try going back to active in dc and try again.

please post about what you don't understand in the faq.
we can't help if we don't know what your doing wrong, or if you forgot something.
the best exemple was the XP solution, you did give info on what you have and ask a question on it, so there has been a reply about it.
probably you don't enter the good IP in active setting.
must be the public IP(external IP) + port.
