Increasing Download Bandwith

Is there a possibility to increase the Download Speed especially when i am connecting to the Other user or i am downloading to them to increase the bandwith?

There is a pretty easy way to increase your bandwith speed, unfortunately not everyone can use it.

- if you have problems with download speeds dropping when you start uploading, you should look into clients with upload limiting facilities (after trying if the "Use small send buffer" option (in settings->advanced) helps), or some more general speed limiting facility (like Netlimiter). better even is to search a bit around on this forum.. where you can find more detailed explanations of the problem.
- if you do not have the problem mentioned above, you cannot increase any speeds really, except a bit maybe, by tweaking your tcp stack settings. http://www.cablenut.com/ has a utility which will allow you to easily set up a bit more sensible values than the windows defaults. (especially if your ping tends to be high while your transfers are not saturating your bandwidth)

If you have an ADSL connexion, then you have maybe the possibility to increase the speed...
'Cause in fact, synchronization problems (Modem is unable to find and to keep a correct ADSL Signal) can slow down the connexion...
To know if you have synchronizaton problems, the best thing to do is to ask your ISP Hotline...
But normally, if you can surf with no problem, that meens ou haven't any synchronisation problem...

This is part of why they check the loop length from your house to the CO... If they've sold you DSL and you can't link at those speeds, you need to yell at them. I think you're wrong about DSL & syncing and picking a lower speed to sync at.
