Hi i had question. I go to university and they have dc++ and it downloads at the speed of light over there and was wondering if i could start a hub in my home town and if would download as fast as when i am at school.???
also do i need a server

Unless your home town has its own LAN and not just a bunch of residential DSL and cable lines, you will not be able to download at the speeds you saw at school.
