You don't have to learn C++ or anything you don't want to. You don't even have to help out, but extra hands are nearly always appreciated. Just use DC++, and if you encounter a crash, try to describe what happened - then see if you can trigger it again on purpose.
You can also just think of features that you'd enjoy, and enter them into the new bug/feature tracker.
I don't want to force anyone to do anything they don't want to... really.
