More colors !!?

i did a quick search, didn't find any topics discussing the same issue exacly...

I would strongly recommend adding more possibilities to the appearance tab - to the background, text, up and down colors

i took a screen from mIRC and i think it would be perfect if dc++ had a similiar feature for choosing colors



Note. I think the most important part of the coloring tab is the inputs for RGB (red-green-blue) colors - with those colors you can make up any colors seeable to the human eye :p - therefore you could make dc++ look exacly like your mirc does, or make it blend in better with your wallpaper etc.

That's not an mIRC feature. That is a standard Windows component.

Settings --> Appearance --> Select Window Colour --> Define Custom Colours >>

Like different colour for own text and different color when someone makes highlight on your name.

Try a mod, several of them have exactly what you want, like oDC and FulDC, and many more. The developer of DC++ isn't much for fancy GUI's and flashy colours, so it's unlikely you'll find this is vanilla DC++.

Well, you can define any kind of font color for the main chat in BCDC++ (0.307 or above) using the lua scripts included: for example: formatting.color.time = "\\red160\\green160\\blue160;". So you have the possibility of select the chat colors from the whole rgb scale

While BCDC's colouring is extreemly powerful it also take a while to learn, mods like oDC, .PhantomDC and CZDC are slightly easier to set up.

Mine doesn't use the same windows theme as you have, but it's the same widget. What are you asking for that you don't have?




Certainly, the foreground color selection only gives you 16 choices, but the other three seem to exist exactly as you're requesting.
