Hey I just Thought of this when working on my client. Theres no point adding it to mine if it isnt in the orignal.

Say You are share a file named Hello.avi. and you want people to be able to download if off you from a web page.

you have the link on that page as DChub://blablabla.com[user:user],[file:C://Hello.avi]. When they click it there DC++ pops open and connection the the hub then adds that user and that file to his downloads queue then it searches for more source if thats ticked in the settings.

Or you advitise the file in the hub chat like just [user:user],[file:C://Hello.avi]. does the same as above but doesnt open a hub.


Or something along the lines of that. Comments and changes are welcome.

Other clients support variations of this being
dchub://hubname.com/user/path/file.avi advantage of your one being that the hub address doesn't need to be in the chat. PDC opens the users filelist and selects the file (like the goto function from oDC) instead of queuing it automatically, but I dont see any reason that it couldn't be made optional to queue/goto.
