Much like a web server DC++ could write to a log in W3C format, adding an entry for each ip that connected, files uploaded, bytes transferred, etc. using this standard format.
Then a standard web-log analyzer program could be used to get statistics!

Can you provide an example, both of the log line you expect, and of what sort of statistics you expect to gather from the logs?
The log file parsers out there seem to have some issues, generally, so being able to use products with more maturity is great. I think the majority of DC++ users are stats whores.
