Ability to bind to a specifc IP address

Post by mack1 » 2004-01-15 17:27

Hi!

I have a computer with 2 IP's on the same interface (Win2k). Is it possible to bind DC++ or oDC to a specifc IP (all packets to be sent with that IP as the source address) ? I want DC++ packets to use another gateway and this is the only way that I can do it.

Also, is it possible to compile DC++ with a free compiler (gcc, Borland 's free compiler) ? Is someone working on this ?

No. DC++ does have some features for multi-homed systems... but offhand, I'm not sure what these are.

No, but you can try, patches would be appreciated. Some research indicates problems in trying to compile MS's WTL with anything but MS VS's compiler (or the Intel one).
