Is there room in the protocol for transmitting idle times for users?
If you send a PM to someone and they do not respond, it can be quite annoying not knowing whether or not they were away from their computer or just ignoring you.
The "/away" command is a partial cure, but people rarely use it.

NMDC uses a bitmask in MyINFO to indicate idle/away.
A kind soul put it in the
DC++ wiki

No, DC++ does not keep track of Idle/Unidle times. It doesn't set the bit while you're /away either. CZDC does use the idle status, though. If PPK wants to contribute that code back to DC++.... (or you could just take it for .Phantom)

So since the <flag> is already in the protocol, why doesnt DC++ set just the away bit when DC++ in away mode? That would make sense. Fireball and server are not needed.

i would be happy if you could include this in the auto away on minimise..
eg - [idle for 13:34 H:M] your away message
eg, count the number seconds in away mode

I'd rather it just display your away since + timezone.
