Some people on English OSes experience this as well. It's probably a font-height issue, though it may not be.
oDC "fixes" this through having a RichEdit control, instead of a standard edit one.

Yes, font height issues - as in the number of pixels tall that the tallest glyph in a font is. Perhaps it's the issue, but perhaps not. This is a bug that hasn't been tracked down. I haven't seen it on my systems, or I'd try my best to fix it. ^_^

Is it possible to compare current version's source code with version 0.163's ? ( the part of the same function ).
I just did a quick compare in my Merge program...
void HubFrame::addLine(const string& aLine);
Has not changed in function since 0.163 - except for the stucture of how timestamps get added, and logging of main chat. Maybe one of the functions of how the list box is created affects it more...
by the way , is your system winxp ?
One of mine is, but not the one I'm typing from (W2k SP4).

no problem in private chat.
Thanks, that's also a useful piece of information.
Now, do you use private chat enough that you're sure the scrolling bug never happens in it? If it's a bug, hub chat is used a lot more than private chat, so it seems likely that it'd show more.
Anyhow, I'll take a look at the List-View control in the private chat and see if it differs from the one in main chat.
Also, you might be interested in reading the thread about Unicode in the Protocol forum... Sandos and Sedulus have been thinking about non-English users of DC/DC++ lately.

(But it can not log into a Ptokax dchub, PtokaX: <PtokaX> Unknown user agent! Bye!)
Are you using DC++ emulation mode for that hub? BCDC++ should behave, externally, as DC++ when properly configured.
I believe that cologic has just used a RichEdit box instead of a normal Edit one, sidestepping the bug we're seeing (which is a perfectly good solution).

Sure, that's an easy question: http://utrum.dyndns.org:8000/
BlackClaw/cologic doesn't post contact details there. You can PM him under the nick cologic in this forum.
