I suggest that in dc++ should include priority by number (1,2,3,4,5,6,...100)
instead of (highest, high, normal, low. lowest...). When we want
to download the whole directory, it should have someway to specify which file to download first, second, ... In the case if we have many files to download. If we do not have a way
to specify priority, dc++ seem to be download randomly, this is not what we expect.

100 priorities have been suggested before... Someone may code this and submit a patch, but it won't be me as I think there are better solutions. Feel free to find one of the old threads and post to it.

I cannot see any real difference made by setting priorities, except for pause. I would like to have files given preference based on what I want downloaded first, but often a low-priority file will start instead. On a related subject, it should be possible to have the same file resume downloading instead of always switching to another file from the same user. If I tag 10 or 20 files from the same person, and they are disconnected often, I'll have 10 or 20 small files and no whole ones. I believe this and showing percentage downloaded amounts in the queue are the two best additions that could be made to dc++ at this time.

Pensign, DC++ will pick from higher priority files from a user before low priority ones. If "lowest" is the highest priority on a file from a user, that's the only time it'll be picked. Are you sure you're seeing what you said you're seeing?
A solution to the second part of your post is to have a mini-priority scale (able to be turned on and off though a setting) that will give more complete files priority over others in the same priority band. (i.e. a 500kb completed normal download would have priority over 128kbyte normal download, and that would have it over an unstarted normal download). Nobody's made such a patch and submitted it to Arnetheduck for inclusion in DC++ as far as I know though.
