Ignoring users PMs and/or public chat...

Post by mirza » 2003-04-27 12:49

Well, we all probably have one of those silly bots PMing us every three minutes...

It's very annoying and the "Ignore messages from users that are not online" option either doesn't work or you're simply afraid to miss other people if you enable it..

I've seen this option (ignoring) mentioned earlier but... it doesn't seem to be going anywhere =/

Supposedly some other clients based on DC++ have this option.. Supposedly it's also pretty easy to implement...

Well... ?

Well, BlackClaw has this in BCDC. If BlackClaw sends a patch for this feature to Arnethduck, he'll at least consider it (I don't know if he'll accept it, for I am not he). Arnetheduck is a busy person, and is also writing dch++, a hub for direct connect, so he doesn't search DC++ forks for source code to merge back into the official client.

I'm not sure where you get easy from, but it's always easier for someone not doing the work to say it's "easy" than to do the work themselves. ;-)

ta da

It would be nice if the client supported some limited scripting.. like most hub software does.
