Multiple Sources: "Change to..." Option

Post by Kenneth-Chile » 2003-04-02 20:42

When I have multiples sources for one file, In the right click menu item. What do you think about adding a "Change to..."(sources online) Option for easy change to download from another user.

It's only a idea, it has some details to analyze like What would happen with the "Download rule: Maxim download speed to begin a new download" (if activated)? etc.

Comments? Rejection?

Wouldn't you have to stop a download to resume from another source ? So you should keep the slot open in case the new source has no free slot.

I think that DC++ would ask for a free slot first. If user has free slots, then change connection.
