Increasing levels of spam

There seem to be increasing levels of spam threads in this forum at the moment. Traditionally we have had the approach of not deleting rubbish, but putting it in the Dump instead. For the obvious spam, is there any benefit in this? I think we should just delete them on sight.

The only reason I can think of to keep them would be to identify what type is the biggest problem and apply some kind of solution, if one shows up. I don't know if that's a good enough reason to fill the dump up with them.

I've been deleting the spam accounts more frequently than I've been logging in (for those that put their website in the website section). If the account hasn't been deleted when you see the spam, please delete it. (or if it becomes deleted later.)

I'm going to install EasyMod and a mod that changes the text in the registration form (hopefully that will help). However, it's hard since the server is still nearly unresponsive sometimes.

I had hoped that it would stop when Romania entered the EU, which apparently has good laws on cyber stuff.

I installed EasyMod and "ConfusaBOT ACP", so we'll see how this shapes up.
