Broken forum statistics page
http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/forum/statistics.php
The stats page for the forums appears to be broken now. Would I be correct in assuming that this is due to the new site layout?

Ähum......, When I saw the first post about "new site layout" I searched the forum but didn't find any relevant info. Is there a new look in the pipeline?, What's going change?

Actually it did change, about a month ago or so i think.. Big change, new layout, new colours, new width... There's an announcement somewhere i think.
On a sidenote, i'm happy to say that all my problems with the newposts page i had in Opera are gone.. could be because it got upgraded, or perhaps someone changed the page a bit. It doesn't crash every time i open it now anyway =)

Oh, You mean THAT change. Yes, I'm fully aware of that one. I thought there were a new change in progress.
I sorry to say that to me the change was a step down. I liked the old one better. But maybe I'm just an oldtimer who's allergic to change
Anyway, I've noticed some errors, database connections errors if I'm not mistaken. Maybe just "trimming" problems I wouldn't know. If I re-read the page it works so it's no big thing.
Regards

these database connection errors simply stem from an overloaded server, if I'm not mistaken

I suppose you're right, the thing is that I didn't see them before the switch of the site layout. So, does the new layout "eat" alot of resources or have we gotten a boost in number of users?

If it is, that would have been a factor before as well I suppose. I assume that the only one that can really answer this one is escapade and he's/she's not the most active in this forum as I see it.......TheParanoidOne wrote:Isn't the bandwidth shared with other SF projects? That might be a factor as well.

The font is a bit small, and I have a hard time positioning my cursor for edits because of its size.
The project hosting for all SF projects seems to be a small shared cluster. The mysql databases are on a different machine/cluster. All of this is fairly opaque to me, though SF probably documents it somewhere.
