I just got this from many different hubs: Warning! DC++ 0.401 contains a serious bug which makes your hard-drive to spin empty and your computer tilts as long as you shutdown DC++
Should I be alarmed and worried, because I have already installed version 0.401?
Or is this just a sick joke.....

But the HD will do alot of work when starting DC++ > 0.306 for the first time.

Do you honestly have to ask whether or not this is serious?

It sounds like someone's trying to spread Fear,
Uncertainty, and Doubt about 0.401's hashing. Perhaps these people should avail themselves of the changelog and this forum.

Thanks for your answers...
I'm just making sure, because you can never be too careful with software, there can always be bugs.

That must mean that
this feature is getting closer and closer to implementation!

I have had to nail my computer to the desk since upgrading to 401!
It starts to tilt and then as soon as a fake file starts downloading at more than 2mb it lifts into the air and slams against the wall.
Please can someone help me as I am not sure if this is a common bug.
(At least its not as bad as some of the other p2p programs, One of them (KL) used to make the computer scream like a stuck pig and explode!! I still have the scars!!

hmm I believe a duct tape is better solution here, also you could try to pour some cement into the computer, thus giving it more weight so that it wouldn't fly away
