bandwitch limiter don't detected !!

Post by ibicoben » 2006-02-28 20:41

Ih!

i'm OP on a french hub, and since few time there's a new bandwitch limiter is arrived, is name " DU supercontroler" available on this link for test ==> http://www.01net.com/telecharger/windows/Internet/connection/fiches/27113.html

When user use Du supercontroler whith DC++, not any client or OP client can detecte it, best OP client too.

I think the problem is, dc++ don't support or detect DU supercontroler

on the order hand, when DU supercontroler is used whit the french client Zion++, all of client dected his used

Could you tell me from where come this probleme, and, if it's possible to repared it?

thanks you for your answer
sorry for my english :-)

Er... you can't detect Netlimiter when it's used with DC++ either. What's different here? If you're advocating that DC++ should put "BANDWIDTH LIMITER" in the tag or something.. good luck.

Bandwith limiters are useful, and necessary for many users. What's the problem?

I can detect user with bandwitch limiter , with my Z++ and other dc++ , it's indicate in the type connexion in the hub ( but only netlimiter and not DU Supercontroler)

because there are many bad users who use not corectly ( exemple => limited 1ko )

You're using a DC++ clone which reads the broadcasted information from another DC++ clone (CZDC derivative) which is coded to fetch and display the netlimiter setting. It didn't detect anything. Get the author to include an interface for DU Supercontroler and distribute it and you'll be good.

Basically, when you thought you were detecting netlimiter, you were only looking at what one certain dc++ clone was telling you. Everyone in your hub could be using netlimiter, and you wouldn't have a clue, because you were staring blindly at that result. See how pointless that is?

it's very strange , when I use dc++ 0.674 with netlimiter or Du Supercontroler , impossible to reperate this.

Whereas I use my client Z++ with bandwitch , it's indicate in the type of connexion.

DC++ can send the information from another DC++ for detect bandwitch limiters ???

Why hide the use of limiter ??? :?:

It could, but it does not, and is not likely to.

DC++ doesn't care if you use one. DC++ doesn't detect if you have one. There's no reason it should - either netlimiter or "DU Supercowomgbbqlimiter".

You're confused about what features your client provides.

Why in the connection there are > Netlimiter[*] (see image in top)
hub send the connection type of user, if he has or not a bandwitch ?

Because the client that the user is running detects NetLimiter and shows it in his tag to everyone but himself. (It displays a "normal" tag/connection type to him so he doesn't catch on.) It's a feature of his client, not of yours.

I dont understand ,when I use 0.674 ( dc++ good) with a limiter , client don't running detects Netlimiter.
it's the hub (scripts )??? setting of my client ???

Because the client that the user is running detects NetLimiter and shows it in his tag to everyone but himself

Although you like the feature, it's not going to be added to DC++ itself. DC++ should not care about what other applications the user is running, and it should not spy on the user and report that information back to anyone else.

Users need to be able to trust that DC++ isn't doing anything underhanded to their system.

what ??? it's not underhanted :?:
it's a indication for operator !!!!!!!

if it's not possible to see realy connection type of user why there are this option ( connection type:DSL,Cable etc....)

When DSL users limit their "BANDWIDTH" (sorry for mistake in top lol ), they destort connection , no ???

thx , but my post is an aim of see realy connection type and not spy or kick users limiting
sorry for my english :-)
