Critical Error during UT 2004 installation...

Post by [BBB]NeoMtx » 2004-03-25 19:58

Ohhh no, what should I do?
I've got the following message:

Critical Error

Failed reading source file: F:\Sounds\AnnouncerAssault.uax (Datafel (CRC-fel, Cyclic Redundancy Check))

The source media may be bad. If installing from a CD, try cleaning the CD to remove any dirt, check your CD drive, and try again.

What should I do, WHAT SHOULD I DO????!!!
Somebody please help!!!

Don't post this kind of crap in Help/Support. You should know that by now.

Anyway, clean the CD using a damp cloth, start at the center of the CD and sweep outward toward the edge. Never wipe "with the grain".

If that doesn't help, take it back to the store and exchange it for a new copy.
