COPYRIGHT Right or Wrong? You Choose

Amazing how everyone ignores...

Story: Firefox add-on lets surfers tweak sites?

I think it is amazing how everyone ignores the fact that changing of someone else's web site no matter the reason is a copyright violation. I am beginning to see why Hollywood and the music industry are acting the way they do. No one seems to have any regards for people's property.

I see a time coming very soom when things like this will result in law suites. It happened to Google for changing sites and I suspect that large sites with the money for the lawyers will be going after people that change their web sites. After all most of these sites rely on advertising and anything that messes with that is going to get slammed with law suites.

The 26 year that made Greasemonkey as well as Opera for adding such feature to thier browser directly needs to be gone after. I hope it happens and I hope they both loose greatly.

People and companies need to respect everyone's copyrighted material.

What is *your* opinion on it? All you have done is pasted someone else's quote (without the requisite link to allow us to see the context). Do you agree with it or disagree? What statement are you trying to make by pasting it here?

I would love to slap the shit out of him, by the way he stated it one could say that just visiting a web site breaks the copyrite infrengment law, between data being downloaded on to ram caches and what not every user who surfs the web are in violation of copyright infrengment...so to the jackasses like that, in this forum and accross the world just know that if I ever see you, know that you have a can of whoopass waiting for you, so get your bibs ready...because im serving em' all

there is nothing wrong with changing the way a website is displayed to you on your own computer. It's wrong if a third party does it in the middle, but for you as the consumer to make the choice to use something like Greasemonkey, there is no problem.

Now did you get the author's permission to copy his text here? :)

Since you haven't shown any confirmation that you were allowed to copy-paste that text into this forum, i urge for this thread to be removed and closed. And the possible copy-right-vailator to be warned.
Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.
