Wierd Upload Problem - Am I Alone?

Post by Adama » 2006-06-16 08:26

Hi,

When an upload finishes, within a few seconds, the connection restarts and uploads some more to the same user. This is happening for almost every file, though not all of them. It's as though the person downloading from me doesn't register the file as complete, and DC++ starts downloading from me again (perhaps the users rollback setting?)

Anyway, it is illustrated in the attached screen grab. As you can see, the same file gets uploaded to the same user many times.

At first I though it was just DC++ logging a message every couple of MB, but I sat and watched some uploads coming to an and, and sure enough, it was completed but then started again a few MB from the end. I've searched the forum and can't find any other mention of the problem - wondering if it's just me :(

Its not a problem. Its a typical sign of using a multisource client on the other side.

Ok, but why does the upload complete (I watch it get to 100%) then restart again at like 97%. Surely this then uploads the same information, and uses towards my monthly bandwidth limit?

Is there any way I can stop this? I mean, once the file is 100% surely they don't need to get it again?
