Tell this newbie the views on IP blockers such as PeerGuardian and Protowall. Should I dl one? thx

Download it if you want. But be aware that they will steal resources while NOT giving you any particular "protection". Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

I think the general concensus is, don't bother with either of those. Simliar thread

Searching for the term PeerGuardian returned 18 results. One example is the following:
